Children and Adult: Apply topically with swab twice daily for 10 days. |
Important side effects: Well tolerated. Prevention: 1:1 mixture of rubbing alcohol and vinegar in external canal after swimming. |

Children and Adult: Instill 2-4 drops in the affected ear(s) twice daily for 7 days. |
Important side effects: May cause local irritation. Caution: Use only with intact tympanic membrane. |
Acetic acid 2% (VoSol® otic) Pregnancy: Unk; Lactation: Unk Sol 2% |
Children and Adult: Saturate cotton wick and insert in ear. Apply 3-5 drops to wick every 4-6 hours for 24 hours. Remove wick, then instill 3-5 drops in affected ear(s) three to four times daily for as long as needed. |
